Stillness in Meditation
Again, meditation is communing with Source, with All Good, with the Truth, with the God within. It connects us to the divine Source. It provides a link between us and the ultimate Good. And this communion is hard, if not impossible, to take form without the observation of stillness.
In meditation, we put ourselves into receptive mode. We prepare ourselves to listen. We let our ears open for God's voice. We remain calm-- as we receive every Wisdom emanating from within. There's a Truth ready to be revealed to us. And we can have it be revealed to us only if we are at the very state of being receptive, no mind disturbances whatsoever.
In meditation, thinking yourself of various problems can be a total impediment in making the spiritual connection. Perhaps, the problem maybe tracked down to our own way of thinking. Maybe our mind is just as noisy as the aircon in our bedroom and we don't even notice that there's a rhythm also in our breathing. There's a sound of life. And we are not really opening ourselves to a communion with our inner self. Maybe, we just talk too much. We heed less. Not knowing that there is a voice to be heard, that joy and peace can speak to us.... ever-present within us... part of being us. They are waiting for our activation so that we can acknowledge our oneness with each other.
It is stillness that opens the gate in our entrance to self-realization. Let us not allow human tendencies, like polluting the mind with problems, to restrict us in our endeavor to commune with inner peace, inner being, inner self. Stillness be upon us all!
